Sometimes working out is a kickass rollercoaster you can’t wait to get on again…
 
Sometimes it’s breadcrumbs the ducks are drawn to even though it sucks.
 
And that is what ultimately separates the aspiring not-so-fit people from the real super fit people.
 
Super fit people train, even when motivation is obliterated in a devastating train-wreck.
 
They take that adrenaline shot, jolt back to life and go another round.
 
Eventually, it becomes an ingrained habit and a blazing fire that feeds on itself. 
 
Working out, leads to more working out.

1) Get The K.O. For Your Dreams
No, you don’t have to knock anyone out here. K.O. stands for Known Outcome. In other words, in order to accomplish your dreams and goals, you have to choose your specific outcome that you want to accomplish and know exactly what you really want to go after. Because if you don’t know and don’t define what it is that you really want, how do you know you don’t already have it? So get your known outcome for your dreams and write it down!

2)Take The Shot!
Once you’ve got your known outcome – the moment you decide on it. Take the shot! Too many people hem and haw over what they want – pondering whether or not they’re making the right choice, or if they should consider something else. This is how you end up talking yourself out of it and get trapped in the paralysis of analysis! Stop sitting around waiting for all the lights to turn green before you leave the house – it will never happen! Instead, just take the shot! If you’re going to miss or screw up, so what, make it a big screw up – because then you can at least learn something and correct course to give it another shot. Like Gretzky always said – you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. So take that shot!

3) Switch Weapons
Once you’ve taken the shot – if you don’t laser your target from across the map on the first shot – no biggie. You might miss some shots along the way. Maybe you were using a little no-scope pistol trying to hit the 500m long range shot. Switch weapons and take another shot! If that doesn’t work, switch weapons again. Just keep changing your strategy, noticing what’s getting you closer or further from your target and keep making progress.

4) Keep Firing Until You Get The W!
It doesn’t matter how many shots you end up having to take or how many times you have to re-work your strategy, switch weapons and try new tactics. As long as you never stop moving forward and pulling the trigger over and over again, you can never fail or take an L. So keep firing as long as it takes until you get that W! Eventually, if you keep working towards your dream and keep taking big shots, you’re going to hit it!

Decide right now that you are going to make a change and take action to transform your body and health.
 
Decide in its’ Greek root means to cut off from – which means the moment you truly decide, you cut off any other possibility of not following through and taking action.

Write down your K.O. and be specific. How much weight do you want to lose or gain, how many reps of pull ups do you want to be able to rep out, maybe you want to be able to bench 300lbs by the end of the year or do something crazy like 10 handstand push-ups? I don’t know, just write it down and write down why you want to accomplish it, what it will mean to you, how it will make you feel to achieve and really get some passion behind it. 

Then, once you’ve decided on your K.O. brainstorm as many ideas as you can think of that will move you just 1 step closer to the right direction – just one step closer to your K.O. dump everything out of your head as quickly as you can so you have a massive arsenal of weapons to choose from to move you towards your goal. 

Next, immediately circle the one you are going to take action on right now and take action – don’t give yourself time to think or second guess!

Maybe you’re going to walk around the block once, maybe you’re going to do 10 push-ups, maybe you’re going to clean out the junk food from your cupboards and go buy some fruits, and vegetables and lean proteins. Whatever it is, simply circle it and then start taking action right now!
